Each nephron has two parts:
A. Glomerulus: It is a tuft of capillaries in Bowman's capsule.
Renal artery → Afferent arteriole (a fine branch of the renal artery) → Glomerulus → An efferent arteriole.
B. Renal tubule: It is divisible into
a. Bowman's capsule: It is a double-walled cup-like structure enclosing the glomerulus. Malpighian body (or Renal corpuscle) consists of glomerulus and Bowman's capsule.
b. Proximal convoluted tubule (PCT)
c. Henle's loop
d. Distal convoluted tubule (DCT)
e. Collecting duct
