The end product of glycolysis is pyruvic acid whereas acetyl Co-A is connecting link between glycolysis and Krebs cycle. TCA was first described by Krebs as a cyclic process in which acetyl Co-A is oxidized to CO2 and H-f). The enzymes of Krebs cycle are found in matrix of mitochondrion. Malic acid, citric acid and succinyl co-enzyme-A are the intermediate compounds in Krebs cycle whereas acetic acid is not involved with Krebs cycle.
