Logistic growth describes a situation in which resources present in the environment are limiting. This natural limit for a particular species in its habitat is called carrying capacity (K), which leads to competition between individuals for limited resources, and hence, the fittest individual will survive and reproduce. The equation that describes the logistic growth of a population is dTdN=rN[KK−N]
N=Population density
r= Intrinsic rate
K= Carrying capacity
