Solution:

Hair-like outgrowths of cell membrane are the cilia and flagella, where cilia is shorter in length and more in count compared to flagella. Studies have shown that their core, namely, axoneme is surrounded by plasma membrane. The axoneme is made of microtubules which are arranged in a cyclic manner with 9 doubtlets at periphery and a pair in the centre.
