Solution:

When a - particle is emitted, the atomic number is increased by one while atomic mass (mass number) remains unchanged,
ie,
Since, the species having same mass number but different atomic number, are called isobars, thus, the parent and daughter nuclei (which is formed after emission of - particle) are isobars.
