Solution:
In photophosphorylation ATP synthesis is linked to development of a proton gradient across a membrane. During the activation of electrons of chlorophyll and their transport to final electron acceptor protons concentration increases in thyllakoid lumen. Photolysis complex associated with PSII is present on inner side of thyllakoid lumen. Primary acceptor of electron from PSII is located towards the outer side of membrane transfers its electron to H carrier, which removes proton from stroma while transferring an electron. NADP reductase enzyme is located on the stroma side of the membrane, thus takes proton from stroma.
