Pollen grain represents the male gametophyte with two layers. The outer one is exine and the inner one is intine. The exine is made of sporopollenin. The average diameter for a typical angiosperm pollen grain is about 25-50 micrometers. i.e. is 25,000 to 50,000 nanometres
