Solution:
Given, F=Ax+Bt2
Substituting dimension of force, distance and time in given expression [MLT−2]=A[L]1/2+B[T]2
Now, according to principle of homogeneity dimension of F will be same as dimension of Ax and that of Bt2 ∴A[L]1/2=[MLT−2] ⇒A=[L1/2][MLT−2] =[ML+1/2T−2]
Similarly, B[T]2=[MLT−2] B=[MLT−4] ∴ Dimension of BA=[MLT−4][ML1/2T−2] =[L−1/2T2]
