Karl Von Frisch (1948) observed the dancing activity of bees. Two common type of bee dances are as: (i) Round dance: This type of dance indicate that the source of food is near the hive. (ii) Wag-tail dance: If the food source is more than 100 meter away, the bees perform wag-tail dance. Direction of food is indicated by the direction of tail wagging.
