Disease like whooping cough (pertussis) diphtheria and tetanus (lock jaw) can be prevented by immunizing all infants with triple vaccine-DPT (i.e., diphtheria, pertussis, tetani vaccine). Typhoid caused by a bacterium Salmonella typhi cannot be cure with triple vaccine but typhoid vaccine is availabe.
