Biosphere is the part of the earth and its atmosphere which is inhabited by living organisms. Biota is the flora and fauna together, ie, all the living organisms at a location at a time. Biome is a major terrestrial, climatically controlled, regional ecological complex, eg, tropical rainforests, coral reefs and grasslands. Ecotone is the transition zone between two or more communities.
