Nucleus first discovered by Brown found in eukaryotic cell has an envelope made of two parallel membranes. The space between membranes is called as pernuclear space. The outer membrane of the nucleus has been observed to run continuous with endoplasmic reticulum rather than Golgi bodies. Nucleolus and chromatin are found within the matrix of nucleus. Cells actively carrying out protein synthesis generally show larger and multiple nucleoli.
