Female reproductive system consists of a pair of ovaries, oviducts, uterus, vagina, and cervix. The oviduct is also known as the Fallopian tube. It is further divided into three parts. The infundibulum is the first part of the oviduct that also has extensions known as fimbriae that collects ova from ovary. Second part is the ampulla and this is the widest part of oviduct. This is the region where the chances of fertilization is maximum. The last part is isthmus which finally opens into the uterus through opening called as cornua.
