The larva of Bombyx mori is known as caterpillar. A fully grown caterpillar has a length of about 7.5cm. These larvae are voracious feeder so they have continuous supply of food. Each caterpillar larvae has a well developed mandibulate type of mouth parts adapted to feed easily on the mulberry leaves.
