Solution:

The thyroid gland is the largest endocrine gland in our body. It is a butterfly-shaped gland present in the neck region. It consists of two lobes situated on either side of the trachea and is connected by isthmus. Each lobe consists of many follicles that are responsible for the release of thyroid hormones T3 and T4. These hormones are formed and stored in the follicles and are released as and when required by the body. Thus only thyroid gland stores its hormone before its secretion.
