Solution:

Sporic meiosis generally occurs in plants at the time of sporogenesis. Haploid spores produce a new gametophytic phase in the life cycle. Zygotic meiosis occurs in some lower plants having haplontic life cycle, e.g. , Chlamydomonas, Volvox etc. Meiosis takes place in the zygote so that resulting organisms are haploid. Gametic meiosis occurs in most animals at the time of gametogenesis. Later on, the two haploid gametes fuse forming a diploid zygote and then a diploid organism.
