In phycomycetes, these asexual spores are endogenously produced in sporangium. Example is Mucor
In ascomycetes, conidia are the asexual spores conidia produced exogenously on the special mycelium called conidiophores. Example is Penicillium. In deuteromycetes or imperfect fungi only the asexual or vegetative phases of these fungi are known. Example is Alternaria. In basidiomycetes, asexual spores are not found but asexual reproduction is seen in the form of fragmentation. Example is Agaricus. In Agaricus (mushroom), asexual spores called chlamydospore on dikaryotic mycelium, which on germination during favourable condition produce dikaryotic mycelium.
