The distance from the point (x1,y1,z1) to the x− axis is y12+z12 .
Given point is A(2,3,4) . ∴ The distance from x− axis =(2−2)2+(3−0)2+(4−0)2 =0+9+16=5
Whenever we find out the distance of a point from any coordinate-axis, which is equal to the sum of square root of rest of the coordinate axes.
