Filaria is transmitted by Culex mosquito. Filarial worm is an endoparasite found in lymph vessel of man (primary host) and salivary gland of Culex mosquito (secondary host). It causes elephentiasis- swollen legs in man due to blockage of lymph vessels of legs. The causative ncmalode is Wucherena bancrofti.
