Cockroach is more active in summer and is nocturnal i.e., comes out of its hiding places at night to feed. It remains concealed in crevices and under various objects during the daytime. It is omnivorous, taking all types of animal and vegetable foods, paper, cloth, leather and dead bodies of animals, even of its own fellows.
