In the male cockroach, the genital pouch or chamber lies at the hind end of abdomen and is bounded dorsally by 9th and 10th terga and ventrally by the ninth sternum. The genital pouch comprises of dorsal anus, ventral male genital pore and gonapophysis. A short, thread-like anal style which is located in the ninth sternum is present in the males and absent in the female. In the 10th segment, both sexes bears a pair of jointed filamentous structure known as anal cerci.
