Human skeleton system is divided into Axial and Appendicular. Axial skeleton consists of 80 bones and Appendicular skeleton consists of 126 bones. It includes the bones of girdles and bones of appendages. Pectoral girdle is the upper girdle. It consists of two scapulae and two clavicles. Scapula is also known as shoulder blade. It articulates with the clavicle on one side and with the humerus on the other side. It shows the presence of two processes: Acromion process and Coracoid process. Acromion process articulates with the clavicle and coracoid process with the ligament.
