The papillae filli forms or filli form papillae are smallest and maximum in number of all the papillae. These are present over the anterior two third part of dorsum. These are conical papilla and bear irregular processes at their free ends. These papillae do not contain taste buds in them and are most probably involved in the sensation of temperature.
