Then remaining marbles (E, F, G, H) remain in rest position, and 1st two marbles at the left move with velocity v. $2mv=2m{v}_1+2m_1{v}_2$ $2v=2v_1+2v_2$ $v=v_1+v_2$ ?(i) Also, $v_1-v_2=-1(v)$ ?(ii) By Eqs. (i) and (ii) $2v_1=0$ $\therefore$ $v_1=0$ and $v_2=v$ Hence, option is correct.
