Siphonogamy is the phenomenon where the pollen grain develops a pollen-tube for transport of male gamete to the female gamete. Angiosperms are the flowering plants of the plant kingdom and most diverse group of plant kingdom. Gymnosperms are the non-flowering seed bearing plant group in the plant kingdom.
The seed plants are siphonogamous whereas in the lower plants the male cell swim to the egg cell, hence all spermatocytes are considered siphonogamous.
