Dodo, endemic to island of Mauritius, is a type of bird that could not fly. It got extinct by $1662$ . Quagga, a type of zebra like animal, got extinct by $19^{th}$ century. It was known to live in South Africa. Thylacine, considered tobe one of the largest carnivorous marsupial, was indigenous to Tasmania from Australia. Stellar's sea cow, called so as it was described by Georg Wilhem Stellar, was predominant in the Bering sea between Alaska and Russia. It was extinct around 18th century.
