For principle maxima in grating spectra Nsinθ=nλ
where, n=(1,2,3) is the order of principle maximum and θ is the angle of diffraction. n=λN1=6.25×10−7×2×1051=8 ∴ Number of maxima =2n+1=2×8+1=17
