The light energy is trapped by chlorophyll to make $ATP$ and $NADPH$. Oxidative phosphorylation is the synthesis of energy rich $ATP$ molecules with the help of energy liberated during oxidation of reduced co-enzymes $(NADH$, $FAD{H}_2)$ produced in respiration.
