Solution:

The monocot root is very similar to the dicot root in many aspects with minor dissimilarities. It shows the presence of more than six xylem bundles hence said to have a polyarch condition. The pith is large and prominent. Secondary growth is not seen in monocot root due to the absence of vascular cambium.
