Horizontal component o f both should be same
$ucos\theta =v_{\text{rain}}cos45^{\circ }$
$\Rightarrow ucos37^{\circ }=12\sqrt{2}\times \frac{1}{\sqrt{2}}$
$\Rightarrow u=15m/s$
