Polymethylmethylacrylate (PMMA) is a synthetic polymer of methylmethylacrylate. It is a transparent thermoplastic, often used as a lightweight or shatterresistant alternative to glass. It is sold under many different names like plexiglas, lucite, perspex, acrylic glass.
