Chemoautotrophs are organisms that are capable of manufacturing their organic food utilizing chemical energy released in oxidation of some inorganic substances. The process of manufacture of food in such organisms is called chemosynthesis. It includes some aerobic bacteria. Photoautotroph obtain energy for their synthesis of food from light. Fungi living on dead or decaying plant or animal remains and also growing on dung of herbivores are saprophytes.
