Forces operating within the nucleus which bind the nucleons together are called nuclear forces. These forces are extremely short range forces. This means that these forces are effective for very short distance only (within the nuclear diameter ≈10−5m ). These forces do not at all depend upon the charge. It means that the nuclear force between all nucleons is same.
