Solution:

Pauli's exclusion principle states that : "No two electrons in an atom can have the same set of all the four quantum numbers". The two electrons present in any orbital of an atom must have at least one different quantum numbers, ie, spin quantum number. In other words, "An orbital can have a maximum of two electrons and these must have opposite spins".
