Interferon is defined as a protein which exerts nonspecific antiviral activity. Interferon is secreted by human cells just to resist the immediate invasion by virus and multiplication of abnormal cells. In man there are 3 classes of interferon:

(ii) Beta interferon $(IFN-\beta )$ or fibroblast interferon
(iii) Gamma interferon $(IFN-\gamma )$ or immune interferon IFN- $\beta$ produced by genetically engineered microorganism is well tolerant in cancer patients.
