Epidermis is the outermost layer of cells covering the entire plant body. In most of the angiosperms, the epidermis is composed of single layer of cells (uniseriate epidermis) but in some (eg, leaves of plants like Oleander, Ficus, Nerium etc, it's made up of two layers of cells (multiseriate or multiple epidermis).
