A single faulty cell may divide to form clone of identical cells forming an irregular mass called tumour. Tumour cells can break away and spread to other parts of body particularly in the blood stream causing secondary tumour or metastases. This process is called metastasis. Tumour that spread and cause ill health and death are described as malignant.
