Solution:

Macromolecules are large-sized biomolecules that are built from smaller organic molecules and are necessary for life. They are polymeric substance present in an organized form.
There are four major classes of biological macromolecules-carbohydrates, lipids, proteins and nucleic acids.
Polysaccharides (Carbohydrates) — Polymer of monosaccharides.
Proteins — Polymer of amino acids.
Nucleic acids– Polymer of nucleotides.
Lipids are not polymer.
Macromolecules are under acid insoluble pool having molecular weight above 1000 dalton, except lipids having molecular weight less than 800 dalton (characteristic of monomeric substance), but kept in acid insoluble fraction.
