Solution:
The cell wall present in the plant cells are made up of cellulose and is freely permeable to small molecules. The plasmalemma is the plasma membrane which is differentially permeable or semipermeable and allows the movement of selected molecules in and out of the cell. These membranes also function to protect the cell from the external environment.
