In mango and coconut, the fruit is known as a drupe. They develop from the monocarpellary superior ovary and are one-seeded. Identify the edible part of these two fruits.
In mango, the edible part is mesocarp which forms the fleshy and juicy part. In coconut mesocarp becomes fibrous and the edible part is the endosperm, which is liquid initially but later on maturity becomes solid and cellular.
