When C is removed, circuit becomes R−L circuit.
Hence, tan3π=RXL… (i)
When L is removed, circuit becomes R−C circuit.
Hence, tan3π=RXC..(ii)
From Eqs. (i) and (ii),
we obtain XL=XC;
this is the condition of resonance ∴Z=R=100Ω
