Solution:
A monohybrid cross has the genotypes completely dominant or completely recessive alleles (RR or rr). When these two genotypes are crossed,(RR x rr), the F1 generation will have all heterozygous plants (RrRr). In F2 generation when RrRr is crossed, Rr, RR and rr plants are formed in 2:1:1 ratio. In F3 generation when the cross was done between the plants with genotypes RR X Rr, Rr X Rr, Rr X rr, RR X rr, we will get RR, rr and Rr plants in 3:3:10 ratio. The total number of heterozygous gametes are 10; hence, the percentage of heterozygous offspring will be 10/16*100= 62.5%.
