In a compound microscope, the focal lengths of two lenses are 1.5cm and 6.25cm. An object is placed at 2cm from the objective and the final image is formed at 25cm from the eye lens. The distance between the two lenses is ....... (in cm).
For, objective, u=−2cm,f=1.5m
By v1−u1=f1, we have, v1=1.51−21v=6cm
For eyepiece, v=25cm,f=6.25cm
Using v1−u1=f′1, we get u1=−251−6.251 u=−5cm
So, distance between two lenses =11 cm.
