Final kinetic energy =21mv22
Initial kinetic energy is increased 300% to get the final kinetic energy. ∴21mv22=21(1+100300)mv12 ⇒v2=2v1
or v2/v1=2...(i)
Initial momentum =p1=mv1
Final momentum =p2=mv2 ∴p1p2=mv1mv2=v1v2=2 ∴p2=2p1=(1+100100)p1
So momentum has increased 100%.
