The power of a thin lens is equal to the reciprocal of its focal length (f) measured in metres. Power of the combination is given by P=f(metre)1
Combined focal length is f1=f11+f21
Given, f1=80cm,f2=−50cm (concave) ∴f1=801−501 =−400030 ⇒f=−304000cm ∴power=−400/3100 =4−3=−0.75D
As focal length of combination is negative, hence combination behaves like a diverging lens.
