Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) is a specialised form of In Vitro Fertilisation (IVF) that is used primarily for the treatment of severe cases of male-factor infertility. In the ICSI process, a tiny needle, called a micropipette, is used to inject a single sperm into the centre of the egg.
