Solution:

Hydra is a genus of small, fresh-water organisms of phylum Cnidaria and class Hydrozoa. They have two body layers, epidermis and gastrodermis. Hydra grows by these layers during regeneration from its ends to recover the cell loss. Hence, when cut in two, the lower piece will develop a head and upper will develop a foot by budding.
