Solution:

A pollen grain is formed by meiosis in pollen sac. It undergoes two mitotic divisions to form 2 male gametes. A megaspore is formed by meiosis in ovule. It undergoes three nuclear divisions to form embryo sac which has one egg cell. In flowering plants double fertilization occurs. Thus for formation one zygote 5 mitotic divisions are required. Thus for 100 zygotes, 500 mitotic divisions will be required.
