Formation of greyish membrane on pharynx, sore throat, and fever are the symptoms of bacterial disease diptheria caused by Cornybacterium diptheriae. The disease could prove to be fatal if not treated on time as the toxins released by bacteria may affect the nervous system and heart.
Diptheria is a communicable disease which can spread through air droplets, kissing, and using materials like common utensils with infected individuals.
Plague is caused by Yersinia pestis and causes swollen lymph nodes, which can be as large as chicken eggs, in the groin, armpit or neck.
Tuberculosis is caused by Mycobacterium tuberculosis and its symptoms include cough (sometimes blood-tinged), weight loss, night sweats and fever.
Spores of Clostridium tetani produce bacterial toxin which causes tetanus. Motor neurons, muscles, and nerves are affected by this toxins.
