Solution:
Gastrin and secretin are peptide hormones produced by the digestive system. Gastrin is secreted by the mucosa of the pyloric stomach. Gastrin stimulates the exocrine cells of the stomach to secrete gastric juice, a mixture of hydrochloric acid and proteolytic enzyme pepsinogen, and also stimulates the constriction of cardiac sphincter.
Secretin is secreted from the duodenal epithelium after the entry of the acidic chyme. It enhances the release of sodium bicarbonate in the pancreatic juice, triggers the secretion of bile and inhibits the secretion of gastrin.
